OUR EXECUTIVE TEAM
Eric Alan Donaldson - Founder/Partner
Eric is a veteran content creator and visionary. In his career that spans over 20 years in media production, he has developed a keen ability to seek out emerging markets and new technologies. During his tenure, Eric has created a collective network of media professionals who create original, socially conscious content, which elevates brands and cultivates good humans worldwide.
Jennifer Hancock - Head of Production/Partner
Jennifer is an award winning producer who’s 14 year career in the entertainment industry began in Broadcast Television in North Carolina after receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Savannah College of Art and Design. In 2014 she moved to Los Angeles, opening the door to new opportunities as a Production Supervisor in advertising, Television and Feature Films. Her attention to detail, and knowledge of the business as a whole has won her contracts with global brands such as Eli Lilly, AB InBev, Aldi and Bank of America; and studios and networks such as Universal, Hulu, Netflix and ESPN.
Kendall Kiesewetter - Head of Post-Production
Kendall has spent the past 10 years working with ad agencies, start-ups, and production companies, creating content for a variety of global brands and networks. Her interest in filmmaking began at a young age, when she asked her parents to buy her a camcorder so she could create what she saw on TV. From that point on, she knew her calling was creating content. She began her professional career at Buzzfeed Motion Pictures, where she produced, directed, and edited media featured on their network, and on many other social media platforms. Kendall lives every day doing what she loves most, in hopes of inspiring others through her passion for the process.
Max Gutierrez - Executive Director
Max has a knack for capturing those ‘wink and smile’ comedic moments, whether on set working with celebrities and professional athletes, or off set with family and friends. He has a background in music videos, indie films and film school, so he's a scrappy filmmaker at heart. He knows how to get it done with less, without compromising production value, by collaborating with creatives and communicating with his team. His work has been recognized by AdWeek, the AICP, the One Club, The Addy’s and the Young Director Awards at Cannes. When there's nothing on TV, he sometimes writes about himself in the third person. Weirdo!
Lee Yaniv - Art Director
Lee is a filmmaker first creative, who immerses herself in every project she undertakes. "In order to survive in the world of Film and Design it is imperative that one love art and be passionate, hardworking and dedicated. I love what I do and I approach every project with a fierce optimism, that outstanding results can be achieved, whatever the endeavor.”
Kaiya Peralta - Project Manager
While still attending Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Kaiya began a summer internship at 1987. And now, years later, she is our lead project manager. Her ability to manage and connect our creative teams with our clients, ensures each project, big and small, runs smoothly from top to bottom.
OUR STORY
FOUNDED by veteran commercial producer, Eric Alan Donaldson, a group of Los Angeles based filmmakers got together in 2013 to form a collective that would change the way independent creatives collaborate. At its core, the concept was simple… Pool talent and resources to make a bigger impact. Disrupt the current system and open the door to a more diverse slate of content creators. Stay true to who we are by standing by our promise of employing 50 – 70% women & underrepresented crews. This is 1987.
